PHARMA.D.

Pharm. D. is a Latin term which means Pharmaciae doctor.

Pharm. D. is a 6-year doctorate level course, including five years of scholarly examination and a time of temporary position or residency. The course means to get ready qualified hopefuls understudies in the administration of patient prescription treatment and enhancing persistent results.

DURATION: 6 years

ELIGIBILITY: 10+2 from a recognized board.

SUBJECTS -1st year

Human Anatomy & Physiology, Pharmaceutics, Medicinal Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry, Remedial Mathematics / Biology.

SUBJECTS – 2nd year

Pathophysiology, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Pharmacognosy & Phytopharmaceuticals, Pharmacology, Community Pharmacy, Pharmacotherapeutics 1.

SUBJECTS – 3rd year

Pharmacology 2, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacotherapeutics 2, Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Formulation.

SUBJECTS – 4th year

Pharmacotherapeutics 3, hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, biostatics & research methodology, bio pharmaceutics & pharmacokinetics, clinical toxicology.

SUBJECTS – 5th year

Clinical research, pharmacoepidemiology & Pharmacoeconomics, clinical pharmacokinetics & pharmacotherapeutics drug monitoring, clerkship, project work (six months).

SUBJECTS – 6th year

Internship or Residency Training that includes postings in special units.

Major entrance examinations  for admission to the course are :

GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test)

UP-CPMT (Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre-Medical Test)

PMET (Punjab Pre-Medical Entrance Test)

UPSEE Pharmacy (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination)

Note: Pharm.D. (Post baccalaureate) is a course with 3-year duration. It includes 2 years of study and one-year internship. Eligibility is a pass in B. Pharma. from PCI approved institution)

 

M.B.A IN PHARMACEUTICAL MANAGEMENT

MBA in Pharmaceutical Management is a 2-year postgraduate course involving an advanced study of Pharmaceutical science and technology with various marketing and business strategies.

DURATION: 2 years

ELIGIBILITY: graduation from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate score 50% (45% for SC/ST) candidates.

SUBJECTS – 1st year

Quantitative techniques in management, managerial economics, managerial accounting, managerial communication organizational behaviour, principles of management, computer application in management, communicative English: laboratory-1, business environment cost and management accounting, marketing management, human resource management, business research methodology, communicative English: laboratory-2.

SUBJECTS – 2nd year

Strategic management, pharmaceutical management information system, anatomy, physiology & pharmacology, legal aspects of pharmaceutical business, pharmaceutical multinational management, personality growth lab-1, entrepreneurship and management of innovation, management control system, corporate governance and business ethics, pharmaceutical advance human resource management, pharmaceutical management research project, practical work: personality growth lab- 2.

PhD IN PHARMACY

Advanced pharmacology 1, advanced pharmacology 2, scientific writing, cardiovascular and renal pharmacology, neuropharmacology, cellular pharmacology, pharmacology seminar, principles of molecular pharmacology.

SUBJECTS:  3rd year

Cardiovascular and Renal Pharmacology, Neuropharmacology, Selected topics in Pharmacology, Cellular Pharmacology, Selected topics in Pharmaceutics, Fundamental Laboratory methods, Regulatory affairs, Advanced Drug Delivery System.
