Clearly, the thing that’s transforming is not the technology- It’s the technology that transforms you.
– Jeanne W. Ross, MIT Sloan’s Center for Information Systems Research.
PharmaState Academy, a learning and development platform for the pharmaceutical industry, hosted a brainstorming webinar for pharma professionals interested in learning about how to implement the latest digital technology in the industry. “Using “Microsites” for Pharma Brand Growth,” a live interactive session on Microsite technology from PharmaState Academy.” Microsites are a component of the rapidly expanding digital communication ecosystem that can be used to help pharma brands grow. Digital concepts in pharma and their direct applications should be understood by all pharma professionals.
Dr. Swati Sinha hosted the webinar, which included contributions from digital marketing professionals and featured Vivek Hattangadi (Chief Mentor – PharmaState Academy & Pharma Industry Veteran) and Sourav Das (CEO – MyRx).
Following a brief introduction by Dr. Swati, Vivek Hattangadi and Sourav Das led the webinar by learning valuable information about microsite technology. The webinar session addressed the thought process of pharmaceutical industry leaders in tracking the digital need in the pharmaceutical business.
Sourav Das kicked off the seminar by discussing how a Microsite can be a separate site or it can lie within the company’s website. “In a world where millions of websites are created every day, you need an address for your business.” Dr. Swati agreed. On one question about the influence of trust on brand, Vivek Hattangadi stated, “Brand sites need to be based on trust and content should be non-biased.” In addition, he highlighted the impact of websites on the brand. “RACI Matrix – Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed – is widely used in IT firms and for project management in pharma,” concluded Speaker Sourav Das when addressing management processes in pharma.
“When digital transformation is done right,” says George Westerman, “it’s like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly.“
The interaction during the session gave attendees a meticulous understanding of the topic. As a possible result of the Q&A round, the session was rich in knowledge and lively discussion. The discussion was enlivened by a remarkable conversion as Dr. Swati presented several technology-related pharma queries. “If you’re competing in the physical world, why not compete in the digital world,” Sourav Das concluded the webinar and this should be followed by pharma professionals.
